Manager: Ruth Callan
Ruth supports and leads our current Early Years team, in delivering the high quality and flexible Early Learning and Childcare experience that occurs at Ferryfield Nursery & Playgroup. Ruth also works very closely with the Management Committee in the governance of the Nursery.
Ruth joined our team in 2022 and has a BA in childhood practice. Ruth comes to us with over 25 years of experience working within the childcare sector. Ruth leads the team of 2 qualified and experienced Early Years Officers and an Early Years Practitioner.
Early Years Officer: Mandy Nicol
Mandy joined our team in 2009, before this she worked at Kettle Playgroup. She holds a SNNB and a HNC in Social Care, First Aid and Child Protection, amongst others. Mandy holds a qualification in Autistic Spectrum and has spent time at John Radcliffe school gaining experience working with children that have additional needs.
Early Years Officer: Belinda Greenhill
Belinda joined the team in 2011. Whilst with us she has completed her SVQ 3 in Childcare and has completed many training courses over the years and holds qualifications in Food Hygiene, Child Protection and First Aid; amongst many others.
Early Years Practitioner: Lee Ritchie
Lee joined the team in August 2022 with a wealth of knowledge within the ASN sector of early years. Lee completed her SVQ training in April 2024 and is keen to continue updating her professional qualifications with additional core modules.
